"Babysitting"
With some misgivings, we left a young babysitter in charge of our three energetic youngsters. When we returned a few hours later, she was sitting alone watching TV. I went to check on the children and found them in our narrow hallway. By bracing their arms and legs against the walls, two of them had climbed up to the ceiling. "The babysitter taught us how," they said gleefully. The sitter joined me, her face a deep red. "Since they had me climbing the walls, I figured they might as well be too," she stammered. We kept the same girl for the next two years. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

What's for Dinner?
" The young couple invited their elderly pastor for Sunday dinner. While they were in the kitchen preparing the meal, the minister asked their son what they were having. "Goat," the little boy replied. "Goat?" replied the startled man of the cloth, "Are you sure about that?" "Yep," said the youngster. "I heard Dad say to Mom, 'Today is just as good as any to have the old goat for dinner.'" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Today's Illustration - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in 40 Languages

2 Corinthians 6:1-2

As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain. For he says, 'In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.' I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:1-2 NIV | Print

A man called his neighbor to help him move a couch that had become stuck in the doorway.

They pushed and pulled until they were exhausted, but the couch wouldn't budge. "Forget it," the man finally gasped. "We'll never get this in."

The neighbour looked at him quizzically and said, "In?"

Third Age
Running on Faith

Three nuns were driving across the desert and suddenly ran out of gas.

Remembering a gas station not too far back, one of them decided to walk back for enough gas to get them back for a fill-up.

The gas station owner said, "I'm so sorry, Sister, but the only container I have is this old bedpan. However, you are certainly welcome to use it!"

Agreeing, the nun filled the bedpan and walked back to the others waiting by the car. She removed the gas cap and started to fill the tank with the bedpan.

Just then, another driver came by, stopped and said, "Ladies, I am not Catholic, but I certainly do admire your faith."
