News Flash: This week the annual ministers meeting of New York District of the Assemblies of God was held at our church Greece AG in Greece, NY.It was a much anticipated and exciting time at our church and upwards of 500 AG ministers adn their families and their delegates from our fellowship in NY gathered their annual convocation and Phil and Jo Ann went along for the ride and Phil documented in the above slide show. On Wednesday night, we had old fashioned old time gospel tent meeting night and the district erected a 500 seat tent for the service. Phil has been in pentecost all his life and it reminded him of childhood days in Tonawanda when the great healing evangelists came to his area and erected their massive tents ( some seated upwards of 3,000 people) . Those days when the tent evangelist came to town / many non church people came just to see what was happening and they never left disappointed. There was style miraculous healing of sick including blind eyes open and deaf ears unstopped.At last night tent meeting, we also had a great time. The Greece Praise team led the Praise and Worship. They also had Buddy Barrel and they told the story how Buddy Barrel was named by Sister Grossglass after Rev.Merlin Grossglass ( our NY District Sectretary / Treasurer) who his mother and nicknamed Buddy. Another 17 year old from Binghamton NY quote whole chapter from the Bible which was amazing. US General Council of AG Supertendent Dr George O Wood gave the message for the evening and he told the story of Lillian Thrasher/ who founded a orpaned in Eqypt many years ago. It is still going today, which is amazing. It was a great evening and proves the winds of the Holy Spirit are still moving today.
